Hi, D114 Families! Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. THANK YOU to those of you who came out on Saturday for the Drive Through Santa Breakfast. It was so fabulous to see so many of our kids and families. We hope you enjoyed the event and that it brought you as many smiles as we all had! 💚 Thank you to our amazing PTA for making this happen!!!!

Upcoming Key Dates:

COVID Vaccination Updates
Last week, the Lake County Health Department shared a link for registration for the COVID vaccination. It is expected that Lake County will have the vaccination later this month for emergency personnel and hospital/healthcare staff. The tentative time frame for other emergency personnel (such as school staff) is in January. We are exploring options for how we can assist the LCHD in vaccination administration as well as have a convenient site for our staff and students. More to come on that ASAP, and I'm meeting with the LCHD and a small group of superintendents today to discuss how to streamline this across Lake County. In the meantime, if you have not already, we are highly encouraging EVERYONE to register for the vaccine - if you choose to register it does not commit you to the vaccine, it helps the county to know how many individuals may interested.

The link to register for the Covid Vaccine is: AllVax.lakecohealth.org

If You Are in Need...
Families,  just a reminder with the cold season upon us:
- Please remember that we are here for you.  If your child is in need of jackets/gloves/hats, let us know.
-Please make sure you have a working smoke detector.  If you don't, please reach out to the Fox Lake Fire Department.  They will provide you with one and help install if needed. They can be reached at 847-587-3312.

RETURN TO HYBRID COMING SOON! YES!!!!
This week, I'll be sharing specific details about our hybrid launch to start after Winter Break. While the data is still significant, we have been told by the Lake County Health Department that we CAN open as long as our safety and mitigation plans are in place and closely monitored. We are in GREAT shape with these at this point. We will wait until 1/19 for any grade levels to return to allow 14+ days after the holidays so that any holiday-related COVID contact will not impact our reopening. Families may still choose to stay remote if that is your need/preference. Our hybrid plan, for the most part, stays the same with some minor adjustments. I'll share the details of this on Tuesday at the Board meeting and will share the key points with you in the Tuesday Morning Announcements with lots of follow up as the week wraps up.  We will NOT resurvey families on your preference for in-person/remote learning; rather, we will start with the information we have and will push out communication to confirm what we have and  provide you an opportunity to change this if you need to.

WE NEED YOUR HELP, THOUGH!

Please do your part all the time to help bring the data down:
1. Wear your mask.
2. Wash your hands.
3. Watch your distance--stay 6 feet apart from others.

THIS IS ALL ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT DURING THE HOLIDAY SEASON!
