D114 Weekly Family Updates 8/28/23

   

What an amazing first week with our PreK learners! I can tell you it was the calmest, happiest, most tear-free first week EVER!!!! Thanks to our PreK team for making this happen!

Bus Stop Reminder

Please, please, please be sure that your child is at the bus stop 3-5 minutes before their scheduled pick up time. We are still working on routes to make sure every child is picked up and arrives at school on time. We also will not wait longer than 2 minutes at any stop, as doing so impacts the rest of that route and all others.

This week, we welcome our PreK students back to school! We are all VERY excited to have our youngest students back at school.

It was an amazing first week of school for our K-8 students and staff. THANK YOU for your patience with bus routes and drop off/pick up...we will get faster as everyone learns their routines. HOW CAN YOU HELP... please limit changes to your child's routines after school! We know things come up, but it helps us all when routines are established!

Thank you so much for sharing your most important gift--your children--with us. As a mom of 3 kids myself, I know how important feeling safe and loved at school is for kids, and we take that very seriously in D114. We promise to care for them, make sure they learn, and, most importantly, know they are loved.
