D114 Weekly Family Updates 11/27/23

Congratulations to both Lotus and Stanton for achieving COMMENDABLE status by the state of Illinois! This status is driven by LOTS of different measures, and the kids and staff at both schools ROCKED them all!!! We still have work to do, but the growth our learners are making is OFF THE CHARTS!!!! 🎉

Attendance Matters!!!!
As we head into the last few weeks of 2023, I want to thank you for making sure your children are getting to school. Our attendance rates are improving, and that's because of our partnership. Calling In Student Changes
PLEASE call the office if your child is going to be absent or if they are going to be picked up.  Please DO NOT  just emailing the teacher, as the office may not get the information in time.

Bus Stop Reminders
PreK and Kindergarten families---remember that an adult MUST be at the bus stop for pick up and drop off. We really, really need you to be on time--all our schedules are very tightly stacked, so if you're late...it makes other kids late for school or late getting home.

Parking Lots
Please, please, please drive slowly and safely in our lots. It's also state law that you are off your cellphones while in a school zone. Finally, please DO NOT park in the bus lanes. Thank you so much!
