Weekly Family Updates 4/25/22

Good morning! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

We continue to struggle to fill our bus routes when our drivers are out. They are AMAZING, but they do have to be off sometimes. At this point, we have no candidates to fill our open positions and so that results in us needing to double up routes or get help from Grant drivers when they can assist. I know this causes major frustration for everyone, and we are brainstorming creative ideas for solutions moving forward as this is not how we want to continue to work. I'll keep you informed as we make improvements! If you know of anyone who is interested in driving a route, please have them reach out to me!

Grant HS Activity Fair for Current 8th Graders
On May 2, from 7:00-8:00 pm, we will be hosting an 8th Grade Activity Fair in the East and West Gyms of Grant Community High School. We welcome all incoming freshmen and their guardians to come and meet coaches, sponsors, and current student participants. The goal of this event is to connect future parents and students with the many clubs and sports offered at Grant. In addition to the many club/sport representatives ready to welcome your student into the building, the Bulldog Boosters will be running a spirit wear sale to help fill your soon-to-be Bulldog’s wardrobe. Keep It RED (PBIS) representatives will be available to discuss how Grant utilizes PBIS and how this system positively impacts our school environment.

To reduce traffic and lines at each table, we encourage families to arrive at staggered times based on last names:
● Last Name A-L - 7:00 pm
● Last Name M-Z - 7:30 pm

You can sign your child up for surveillance testing using this easy link!

Please remember that these tests are for student use ONLY!
