Please remember that we need be practicing social distancing during this parade, so staff will wave and say hello from their cars, but we can't get out to talk, give high fives, or hugs. We are sure looking forward to when we CAN do all this again!!!!
Remote Learning--Questions
Thanks to everyone who reached out with questions about the extension of the school closure until at least May 1.
No, we will not add the missed days to the end of the 2019-20 calendar. The Governor has already directed that these are Remote Learning Days and won't be added to the end of the year.
No, we can't decide as a district to do something different than the Governor has directed us to do.
Yes, more structured and streamlined learning options are coming since we know we will be closed even longer! :) I'll have a video for you on Thursday that explains our Remote Learning 2.0 plan--and please know that our plan will streamline things A LOT. Our goal during this closure is that our students continue to grow and learn!!!!
Yes, we are already thinking about how we will make the most of instructional time when are are back to face-to-face learning to prioritize the most important concepts and focus our time to help kids close any learning gaps.
Remember, here's your focus for this week.
Week of March 30
Please focus the Remote Learning choice menu you got in the mail last week.
Teachers are available to give feedback, answer questions, and connect with you and your children.
Teachers may also push out other things to try...please take advantage of these if you can!
We are here to help...and please DO NOT put too much pressure on yourself or your children. This is new for all of us! 💓

Ongoing Updates
GRAB AND GO
We are now doing Grab and Go on Monday and Thursday mornings ONLY from 7:30-10:00 at Stanton. You can grab "3 for Me" and everything else you need but we also limit how many staff members need to come in and how often we are asking families to come to school. You can still get Chromebooks, school supplies, books, and more. Social distancing is KEY to us getting back to normal!
It is our goal that EVERY student have access to a device and the Internet so they can engage in learning. We know it's hard if there's only one device in your home, so if you need to borrow so everyone can work, please come by Grab and Go on Mondays or Thursdays--we'll have Chromebooks to loan!
NEW!!! CYBER READ ALOUD WITH A NEW READER EACH DAY!
If your younger children are having a hard time understanding why we are out of school or are worried about Coronavirus, this is a great social story to explain all this in kid-friendly terms!
