Today's Updates

1 more (With images) | Birthday quotes for me, Birthday quotes for ...

As we head into the last day of school on Monday, I want to write to let you know how AMAZING you are and how much we all truly appreciate all the support you've shown, your partnership, and your strength in making it through the crazy closure. While we don't yet know what fall will bring, I can't say enough about all you have done. THANK YOU so very, very much.

COMING SOON:
*A "Summer Smarties" webpage on the District site that will provide you with summer learning activities for your kids if you want to use them. These will include re-teaching activities for skills and extension activities for kids who are ready to stretch and do more.

*"Monday Messages" from me to keep you informed on plans for the Fall. I'll email in a blog form just like this,  and it will arrive each Monday to make sure you have all the most current information. Of course, if anything comes up that you need to know immediately, I'll make sure you get communication ASAP.

If you have suggestions, please don't hesitate to reach out.

If You Are Struggling...
Illinois Department of Human Services’ Mental Health Division has launched a free-of-charge emotional support text line, Call4Calm, for Illinois residents experiencing stress and mental health issues related to COVID-19. Individuals who would like to speak with a mental health professional can text “TALK” to 5-5-2-0-2-0, or for Spanish, “HABLAR” to the same number: 5-5-2-0-2-0.
Call4Calm is free to use, and individuals will remain anonymous. Once a resident sends a text to the hotline, within 24 hours they will receive a call from a counselor employed by a local community mental health center to provide support.
Individuals can also text 5-5-2-0-2-0, with keywords such as “unemployment” or “food” or “shelter” and will receive information on how to navigate and access supports and services.
