December 11--D114 PTA Drive Thru Santa Breakfast at Lotus from 9:30-11 AM!

E Learning Proposal
On Tuesday, I'll be bringing forward the proposal linked here for Board consideration. This would allow us, under the identified circumstances, to shift to Remote Learning on an emergency day (snow, ice, cold, etc) and then NOT have to make the day up at the end of the year.

Most other districts have a plan like this in place, so I'd like us to have it as well.

In terms of process, I will present this on Tuesday night and then put it on public display. This action--because it's really a change in how we do business--requires public notice and a public hearing in December before the final resolution for the change can be approved by the Board.

Weekly Surveillance Testing
For families opting in on surveillance testing, if you DON'T get an email with the results,  please email results@ohareclinicallab.com and they will solve the problem.

Vaccination Updates for 5-11 Year Olds

I’m happy to share information with you about a FREE vaccination clinic for 5-11 year olds. Please note that COVID-19 vaccinations remain OPTIONAL. I know there are lots of differing perspectives on this, and the goal of this clinic is to simply provide our D114 families with an option should they want to vaccinate their 5-11 year olds.

We are partnering with Gavin D37 for a FREE COVID-19 vaccination clinic for families with children ages 5-11 years old.

The clinic will be held in the Gavin Central Gym on the following dates:

Friday, November 19, 2021 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm - First Dose

Friday, December 10, 2021 from 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm - Second Dose

You may register your child (or children) by clicking on this link. You must register separately for each child you want to have vaccinated between the ages of 5-11.

Walk-ins will NOT be accepted, so please register if you plan on taking advantage of this opportunity.

The following is required:

1) Electronic Consent Form (one for each child, included in link above)

2) Insurance Information (please bring your insurance card; if you do not have insurance a government sponsored fund will be billed - this is FREE to all participants).

3) Identification (please bring your drivers license or state id card)

4) Please have your children dress in a short sleeve shirt in order to receive an upper arm injection.

Click here to see a Pfizer Fact Sheet for recipients and caregivers.

Click here to view a Registration Checklist to ensure you’re taking care of everything you need to take care of before your appointment.

If you have questions about the clinic, please contact Cheri Coby at ccoby@gavin37.org.

Please reach out to Heather Friziellie if you need additional information.
