D114 Weekly Family Updates 1/29/24

There have been two attempts in the last week where a suspect/suspects attempted to forcibly kidnap children near us, one in Grayslake and one in Round Lake. Please click here for the full report of current information.  Investigations so far indicate that suspects are male and the vehicle they are driving is a gray/silver minivan. In both situations, the vehicle pulled up and the suspects started conversations with the children. They then tried to force the children into the vehicle. Our local police are all aware of the situation and are partnering to identify and capture the suspects. Families, PLEASE talk with your children about stranger danger, staying away from unfamiliar vehicles, never walking alone, and staying focused when walking and not distracted by their phones.

Attendance Matters!!!!
I want to thank you for making sure your children are getting to school. Our attendance rates continue, and that's because of our partnership. PLEASE keep making sure your children come to school unless they are truly sick. If you need any help in getting your child to school, please reach out so we can help!
