D114 Weekly Family Updates 3/18/24

It's the last week before a much needed Spring Break for our students! Let's make this a great week!!!

We are seeing LOTS of sick kids and staff. While we absolutely want our students in school, please do not send your child to school with any of these symptoms:

  • Fever greater than 100.0 degrees

  • Vomiting or diarrhea

  • Chills or dizziness

  • Excessive fatigue or sleepiness

  • Major body aches

  • Persistent and productive cough

Students must be fever free for 24 hours without medication before returning to school. They must also go 24 hours without vomiting to return to school.

We are increasing our cleaning processes to help keep the germs away, too!

Thank you for doing your part to keep everyone in D114 healthy!

WE NEED YOUR INPUT!!!

5ESSENTIALS SURVEY NOW OPEN FOR FAMILIES

The 5Essentials Survey identifies five indicators that lead to improved outcomes for all students, including improved attendance and larger test score gains. Participation from families in the 5Essentials is required by the state of Illinois annually and the survey is part of the non-academic indicators for each school’s summative designation. Please click here to complete the survey.

Construction Is Beginning!!!!
FYI, the Lotus roof project will start during Spring Break over the main entrance. Please be aware that you will likely need to use a different entrance to get in the building if you choose to come in during break. I'll let you know of any changes in place when we return from Break.

Attendance Matters!!!!
I want to thank you for making sure your children are getting to school. Our attendance rates continue to improve, and that's because of our partnership. PLEASE keep making sure your children come to school unless they are truly sick (see above).
