SCHOOL SAFETY DRILL

School safety drills are an essential part of emergency preparedness; these experiences provide staff and students the opportunity to practice what to do in the event of an actual emergency. Each year we are required to conduct numerous safety drills. One of these required drills is a law enforcement drill.

Lotus will perform its law enforcement drill on November 4.  As part of Illinois HB2400, parents need to be notified and provided an opportunity to opt their student(s) out of the drill, if they choose, and have their student(s) complete alternative safety education. Please call Lotus School at 847.973.4100, if  you wish to have your child participate in the alternative safety education in the library. The deadline for selecting alternative safety education is noon this Friday, November 1.

As with fire drills and other safety drills, the goal is to acclimate staff and students to a plan that they will be able to follow quickly and safely if ever necessary. The safety of our staff and students is of utmost importance to us. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

SPIRIT WEAR!!!!

You have the opportunity to order spiritwear for Lotus, Stanton and District.   All orders are due by October 31st with delivery mid-November. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Here are the two links to the stores:

Know Anyone Who...
If you know anyone who would be interested in being a Van Driver, Sub Van Driver, or Bus Driver, please have them apply using this link. We can TRAIN bus drivers ourselves if they don't have a CDL, and van drivers don't need the CDL!!!

2024-25 Calendar
Please click here to see the calendar the school year. Yes, we will be in session for Veterans Day, and we plan to honor and celebrate Veterans as a part of the school day! 💓
PLEASE BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR WAYS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY CAN BE PART OF VETERANS DAY EVENTS AT BOTH SCHOOLS!

Attendance Matters!!!!
PLEASE keep making sure your children come to school unless they are truly sick . If you need any help in getting your child to school, please reach out so we can help! Our attendance and absences are submitted to the state and factor into our school status. More importantly, a day missed is a day of lost learning!
