This is my last update for this school year! As we head into the last week of school, I want to say THANK YOU to our amazing families. You are just amazing to work with, and we are so lucky to get to work with you and your children!
To our families of 8th grade graduates, thank you for your time and dedication. We know our graduates will do amazing things as they head to high school!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN FOR THE 25-26 SCHOOL YEAR! Fees will NOT be assessed until after July 1, so PLEASE start the registration process NOW!

Free Science Program Offered
Got a curious middle schooler who loves science? If you have a student in sixth through eighth grades (including homeschoolers) within Beach Park, Diamond Lake, Fox Lake, Gavin, North Chicago, Round Lake, Waukegan or Zion school districts, we’ve got something exciting for you.
Science Explorers in Nature is a FREE program split into two sessions in-between June 16 to July 11 at various preserves. Students will dive into hands-on science fun with this year’s theme: Environmental Forensics. Think field trips, real-world experiments and a collaborative research project–all led by expert educators. Supplies, busing, materials and lunches are covered.

At District 114 Fox Lake, the well-being of our students and families is our top priority. Understanding the critical role mental health plays in student success, we have launched District 114 CARES—a comprehensive initiative aimed at improving access to quality mental health services across our community.
What is District 114 CARES?
District 114 CARES stands for Community, Advocacy, Resilience, Engagement, and Support. This program is specifically designed to provide essential mental health resources and support to students and families, with a focus on those facing financial challenges.
Our mission is to ensure that every student has the tools they need to thrive—both emotionally and academically. By addressing barriers to care, we aim to empower students to reach their full potential in and out of the classroom.
