D114 Weekly Family Updates 9/2/25

  

We're sure glad to have everyone back at school!!!! It's been a GREAT start, and we are so very grateful for our students, families, and staff. D114 is a great place to be!

Good morning, District 114!

We hope everyone enjoyed their Labor Day weekend!

Help us meet our membership goal of 90+ members this school year!! Here's what you need to know:
  • Dues are $10 for the whole year! That's less than a dollar a month!
  • You'll receive a District 114 PTA Calendar featuring student artwork
  • The first 50 members to sign up will be entered into a raffle to win $100 in Scholastic Dollars for your child's classroom teacher!

    • Lotus Library or join us on Google Meets!
  • First Eat Out to Help Out Event: McTeacher Night
    • Tuesday, September 9th, 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm
    • McDonald's in Fox Lake
    • Come see your favorite teachers work at McDonald's for the evening!
    • Make sure to say "I'm here with D114!" 20% of food purchases will be donated to the PTA!
    • Be sure to bring cash for Apple Pies! 100% of apple pie donations go to the PTA!

Stanton After-School Basketball Training – Registration Open!
Stanton students in grades 5–8 are invited to join 606 Academy’s Wednesday basketball training program. Students will learn basketball fundamentals, participate in drills and scrimmages, and build confidence while staying active.

  • Early Release Wednesdays at Stanton School

  • Half-Day: 1:30–3:05 PM | Full-Day: 1:30–4:00 PM

  • Registration closes September 3rd

  • Minimum enrollment required (if not met, program moves to Lotus Elementary)

Lotus Pre-K After-School Program – Registration Open!
Lotus Pre-K families are invited to join our after-school enrichment program held at Lake Front Park. Transportation from Lotus School is provided. Kids will enjoy games, sports, and activities that build teamwork, coordination, and confidence—all while having fun!

  • Open to Lotus Pre-K students only

  • Flexible payment plans available

  • Registration deadline: September 1st
