D114 Weekly Family Updates 10/20/25

Huge congrats to Lotus Teacher Ms. Roland. Not only did she run the Chicago Marathon last Sunday for the FIFTH TIME (Wowowowow!!! Legacy status!)...she also won a $25,000 classroom makeover from Horace Mann! They surprised her with the giant check lat week, and her smile says it all!

Celebrating Unity!

Family Reading Night 2025!!!

Be a Super Fan!
We love when families come to support events! Please remember, though, that we expect anyone at a D114 event (or at another school where we are competing) to represent our District with pride. Please do NOT:
*Talk unkindly to refs or other spectators.
*Yell at your child.
We are all cheering for D114, so please join us to cheer and proudly represent our district.

Absences
Just a reminder that--if a student is absent from school for ANY reason--they are NOT permitted to attend any after school events. If they can't come to school, they should not attend after school events.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS!
We have updated our procedures when students are frequently absent. It's our goal to support students and families in getting to school EACH DAY!
Why does this matter?

Here's what our support will look like...

Good morning, District 114!

We're still seeking nominations for secretary of the PTA. If you're interested in self-nominating or have questions about the position, please email us at PTA@foxlake114.org. We're hoping to vote in the next fabulous member of the board at our next meeting on November 10th!
