D114 Weekly Family Updates 9/23/24

I need your help!!!

Safety and on time arrivals are always our priorities on the buses. We build routes with exact timing to ensure we can get kids to school in the morning and home in the afternoon on time.

Please--if your child is taking the bus--be sure to:

*Have them out at the bus stop 5 minutes before the bus is scheduled to arrive.

*Do NOT wait for the bus with your child in the car, waiting for the bus to arrive. Please have them out at the stop to quickly and safely board.

*Remember that children are NOT allowed to get off at other stops.

*Should your child miss their stop at the end of the day, the driver will radio to us immediately, and my team will call you to let you know the plan. Usually, for Lotus, we'll bring kids back to Lotus to be picked up. Usually for Stanton, we will finish running the route and then circle back to drop the student at the correct stop.

Thank you SO much for your help with this!

Please note:

IF YOUR CHILD TESTS POSITIVE FOR COVID...

Please alert the school office so we may inform the nurse.

Students are expected to return to school as soon as they meet  the following criteria:
• Free of fever for at least 24 hours (without medication)
• Free of vomiting and or diarrhea for at least 24 hours.

Students are STRONGLY encouraged to wear a mask when returning to school to prevent the spread of illness to others.
Masks are available in the office for all staff who wish to wear one.

Please contact Heather Friziellie, Superintendent of Schools (heather.friziellie@foxlake114.org), if you have any questions!
